Awesome shop. Don't take your Subaru anywhere else. Personable staff, clear communication and lay out of pricing and services. Not the best location but its worth it for the quality of their work.

I have been to Rod's twice and had great experiences both times. The employees are friendly and kind, and give clear explanations of their work. I appreciate the fact that I wasn't pressured to buy anything extra when I got my oil changed and they gave me a great diagnostic sheet that lets me know how my car is doing and what might need to be replaced in the near future. Their lobby is comfortable and cozy which is really nice when you have to wait for work to be done, and they also gave me a loaner vehicle when I had my car worked on the first time. I also love that they donate a percentage from their oil change profits to a local charity of your choice. How cool is that? I don't know much about cars and am a little intimated to say the least about taking care of my car and dealing with car troubles but they put my mind at ease and don't use scare tactics to try to get an extra buck. If you need work done, or even just an oil change, I highly recommend Rod's Japanese Auto Care.

We took our Prius in for the first time for a one-hundred thousand mile maintenance check. The service was though and on time. Since there was nothing wrong the bill was zero! When has that ever happened before? Rod's has our business forever!

Just got some work done on our Toyota Sienna- quality service, fair prices, great warrantees, excellent customer care. Couldn't have asked for anything better to be honest.

Although I have been here only twice and my 1st experience was amazing the second was not so great. I took my car in for a leak and a squeaking sound (which i thought was the breaks) i was told i needed to rebuild a pump and replace the axles which cost around 1,000. After i got the car back i noticed the squeaking sound was still there and had gotten worse when i took it back to see why the sound was still there they told me i needed to replace my whole break system that would cost around $1,400. Needless to say i was not super happy after finding out i was originally right in my assumption that my breaks were not working correctly. I know very little about cars and have no idea if my axles needed replacing or not but finding out that i payed to fix a problem that didn't get fixed is frustrating. Rod's has amazing customer service, a staff that always appears happy and energetic, and an extremely comfortable atmosphere in the office. I think for the most part they are a good place to go, but be aware of what they are fixing and if you feel uncomfortable I would not hesitate to get a second opinion.

Awesome Service. As usual the service that I received was awesome and the work again came in under estimate which is a pleasant surprise after past dealings with other repair shops. Thank you also for the use of a loaner vehicle while my car was being worked on. As a single person in a one car household with errands to run and appointments to keep this was a great gift.

Restoring Faith in Mechanics. I have has horror experiences with mechanics and took my subaru 2000 to two previous ones before rods who did not fix anything. Rods was truely unbelievable, they gave me the best price and were honest about everything. They actually overquoted me and could have charged for services that I didnt need done. They had to replace my head gasket which requires taking your engine apart. Rod came in himself on a saturdy to finish the job so I could go elk hunting on sunday. (I brought the car in friday). My car has been working beautifully since, I cant emphasis how amazing these mechanics are. I got the gasket replaced, transmission flushed and various other repairs done for under 2000$. After reaearch online I could not have found a cheaper option. Also I will only take my car to subaru specialists from now on because regular mechanics have no idea how to fix them. Thank you again Rod. Ill be back when I move back to bellingham.
