I came to Rod's Japanese Auto as I felt my previous auto care company was lacking the "care" of customer service. The entire team did not disappoint and far exceeded my expectations. Without hesitation they offered to provide me transportation to/from my workplace and in no way made me feel like I was burdening them by asking for such. I love that I was able to view my vehicle inspection electronically before discussing next steps with them, and that they were helpfully willing to work with me in prioritizing service needs within my budget and plan for future service. The cherry on top was the basket of local goodies left in my car, and the two friendly shop cats! I highly recommend the exceptional auto AND customer care of this establishment.

Rod's is a lifesaver. Had brake problems. They took my car straight away. Fixed the problem promptly, reasonably and made me one happy customer. If you have a Japanese car, these folks know EVERYTHING. Take your car there. Thorough. Professional. Reasonable. And they have puppies !!

A-1 job on my 2000 Honda! I'm just now realizing as I think about the bill/report and the online reports + our several conversations, that Rod's doesn't just provide car service but also owner education. They're way ahead of the average owner's knowledge about their own car even well before it's in the shop and are eager to teach the owner as much as they're willing to learn. One good example for me was the need for new tires. Who wouldda thought? Good tread = good tires, right? Wrong. Rod's told me to look it up so I did & got an education, but the photos really drove the point home - cracks aplenty! Another happy point - I forgot to mention the dash warning system said my brake light was constantly on. At least I thought that's what it said, but they found the brake light bulb was out & replaced it. I'm especially glad they found the pesky problem that's been plaguing me for years - the unnerving left front clunk on backing out of the driveway and the "marbles in the nonexistent hubcap" noise with every little road bump. I guess they were related because they're both gone.

My truck broke down and they fixed it immediately. It cost way less than I expected. They also gave me a detailed maintenance report with pictures. My friend Ryan recommended them and I was glad he did. I highly recommend them. This was the best experience I've ever had with an auto shop.

The best! I would tell them that I am PICKY about who works on my Z. It is an '82, I am the only owner, have every receipt for everything that has ever been done on my car, and it has had exactly seven mechanics in all that time. I do not trust my car to just anyone. I am picky. The mechanics who work on my car must earn my trust. I need to feel that they have my safety in mind and look for potential issues as well as keeping my Z in the best running condition. Rod's has proven to me that they are all about keeping me safe and my Z in great shape. Did I mention that I am picky ? Rod's will be my eighth mechanic shop for a long time to come. Because, I am picky.

The repairs had a higher price to fix that I thought they would before I got there, because (believe it or not) the internet isn't a good replacement for a talented mechanic, and I was totally wrong about what the problem was. With photos, a full inspection and the security of knowing that if something goes wrong, I know where to go, I can't recommend this shop highly enough.
