My 2005 Prius emergency triangle started visually yelling at me a few weeks back and I didn't know what it could be. The folks at Autozone let me know my hybrid battery needed replacing. After a few estimates from a few places, it started to sound like a $3000 job. Luckily, I found Rod's Japanese Auto Repair before I stopped calling around. I spoke with Jeffery -- he told they had a process to fix my existing battery for half the cost AND with a warranty so I made an appointment for the next day. First of all, the shop itself was really nice! I got some remote work done on a comfy couch while I waited, though I was offered a ride. There was a great kids area (with tons of toys, books and a few giant stuffed animals). Best of all, everyone was really kind and easy to talk to. Hell, even the coffee was good. :) After a long and detailed diagnostic (with photos that were emailed to me of my embarrassingly gross filters -- I may not be great at upkeep), I agreed to the big fix on the battery and went home in a complimentary rental car. When I picked up my car today, my bill was $100 less than what was estimated -- and they'd left me a nice gift basket of goodies and coupons for the shop in my passenger seat. The car runs so great and everyone was, again, so genuinely kind -- it was the best car fixing experience I've ever had. I highly recommend @rodsjapaneseautocare -- they saved me $1600 overall and were absolutely lovely while doing it.

Great, attentive service. After making an appointment, I was assured there would be a loaner car available, which is a must with my busy schedule. Dropping off my car was a breeze and a text when my car is ready is always appreciated. A quick drop off of the loaner and I was on my way home in my well serviced car! Can't thank Rod and his crew enough for making automotive repair easy!
